        The Code of Points (referred to from here as "The Code") is the rule book that governs the routine construction and judging of gymnastics. Every quadrennium (4 years) the Code gets updated to keep the sport fresh. The current version is a 6.6 MB PDF file comprised of 160 pages of text - this series of wikis is intended to make it digestible to more casual gymnastics fans in a matter of 10 minutes. Know for high-flying releases and heinous crashes, it's non-stop action. The metal bar is positioned 260 cm (~8' 7") off the mat and is generally kept very firmly in place using 4 cables that extend from its supports and bolt into the ground. Two bars are 180 cm (~5' 10") off the ground - gymnasts swing under the bars, on top of the bars, on their upper arms, release - flip - and recatch, and generally end with a high-flying dismount. For the men, the center of the "horse" is 135 cm (~4' 5") off the ground, 1 m wide, and has a runway leading to the horse that is 25 m long. Every coach and Athlete has their own strength training regime - here are some user submitted suggestions:   Whole Body: Seated Rope Climbs (no legs): While it's mostly upper body, if you straddle and hold your legs out flat, you work your core, biceps, shoulders, forearms, and lats.   Upper Body: Straight arm dumb bell raises: This is best for training malteses and general ring strength for men.
