Thoughts from Men's Team Finals

Being live at the Men's Team finals was one of the most exciting events I've ever had the pleasure of attending. Going into that competition, I had the Chinese and Japanese teams on such a pedestal , but for a few rotations, the Americans were absolutely on fire. It was inspirational.

In particular, Justin and Jon's HB routines were absolutely insane, clutch performances. Then, after rough horse sets from Kevin and Raj, Sasha stepped it up to lock us in to the Bronze.

We were still really nervous in the stands before Germany started their PH rotation, but after two athletes, Dave Durante and I realized that the last guy needed a 16.3 to catch the US, and that even the unbelievable Xiao Qin only got a 16.1, so we knew we had it. We yelled down to the parents of the athletes and the US staff and they didn't believe us, ha.

Anyone else catch that meet? What did you think?
