Reisport Elite Protec HB Grips - Velcro

they rip on me every 4 to 6 weeks

Legitgymnast72

Pros: they are a good grip untill they rip.

Cons: i have to keep getting new grips because they rip

I am a 16 year old 140 pound gymnast. I dont do to many big skills but they hold up very well untill they rip. I though i was just getting a falty product but no it happened to me three times and i dont have the money to keep buying new pairs al the time. Over all they are are a good product but just make sure you watch how they are doing or you might be in the same situtation

Reisport HIGH BAR Grips - Buckle

Reisport HIGH BAR Grips - Buckle

“Standard grip used by many.  I have nothing but praise for this grip as it has given me several years of excellent use with little problems.  However, I would highly advice buying a new pair at least every six months.  The grip stretches from basic wear and tear.  ” --tgent

Reisport HIGH BAR Grips - Hook and Loop

Reisport HIGH BAR Grips - Hook and Loop

“I'm a 160 lb high bar specialist (meaning, I do it 6 days a week) - and one pair of these grips would last me a week at most. Granted - that's better than most other brands. I do a lot of eagle work and so I like a thin grip (like these) that will really let me feel the bar. But, these guys break in and break out too fast. For heavy users, I definitely recommend upgrading to Reisport...” --Dylan

English Bulldog High Bar Buckle Grips

English Bulldog High Bar Buckle Grips

“Once I settled on these grips, I never bought a different brand. I'm pretty large for a gymnast, so I'd typically go through grips like no other.  However, my first pair of bulldogs changed that.  It took me a lot longer than usual to break them in, but once I did, those suckers lasted me forever.  The buckles are nice in that you don't have to constantly fidget with them, and there's no velcro...” --nasty

Ten-O G501-07 Blue HB Grips with Dowel and Hook & Loop

“If you weigh more than 100 lbs, or plan on doing more than giants, stay away from 10.0. Last I remembered, regular Reisport was just as inexpensive and way more durable.” --Dylan

US Glove High Bar Grips (buckle)

US Glove High Bar Grips (buckle)

“These grips were pretty durable, but as a gymnast who does a lot of eagle work, they are too thick for me (can't feel the bar). Also - because they were so thick they had much more stretching potential. I like Reisport Protecs much more.” --Dylan

Bailie BH501 Mens' High Bar Buckel Strap Grips

Bailie BH501 Mens' High Bar Buckel Strap Grips

“These grips are about in the middle of bulldogs, and reisports. They aren't as simple to break in as reisports, and are not as durable as bulldogs. They are in about the middle, and I would suggest them to anyone who was beging to do major releases on high bar. Considering you need a grip that can last a while, and that can break in semi fast, because w/ releases the grips are more likely...” --Gymchamp
