Personally I HATE these grips, as they have little value. They do not have a dowel (sp?) so to me, they are basically tape. And tape is much cheaper compared to grips, anyway you don't need grips if you are in level 4. You personally don't need them until you start working giants in my opinion. The only reason to get these is for the looks, basically, and for the "yay i have grips."
These grips I've been using for about 2 years, I haven't needed new ones, they are uncomfortable. To manage this I took some old baseball socks and cut them up and used as fabric wrist guards. To wear them in fast, put them through the wash with your jeans.
